Each person’s account is the door to their own records and income. Rifena keeps personal security settings easy to find and explains them in everyday language, so everyone can protect their own account and regain access safely.
Who this is for
For every Rifena user who wants to review and protect their own account; do not use another person’s account for this workflow.
Outcome
Finish when you have confirmed your profile, completed the selected security change for your own account, checked its new state, and know how to use Forgot password safely.
In Account, a signed-in user can change their password; the form checks the current password and shows the result on screen.
In Security & sign-in, a user can manage passkeys, an authenticator app, email verification, and recovery codes for their own account.
If you cannot sign in, select Forgot password to continue to the recovery flow hosted by the identity service; follow only the on-screen instructions and never share a recovery code or link.
Before you start
Confirm your own identity, use a trusted device, and continue only on Rifena screens or the recovery screen opened by the identity service.
Steps
- Open account and confirm the personal profile is yours. To change the password, complete the Current password, New password, and Confirm password fields on the Rifena screen, select Change password, then confirm Password changed successfully. For review only, do not perform this branch.
- Open account security, review the methods currently enabled, and manage only methods for your own account; choose one needed branch instead of changing several methods at once.
- For a passkey, select Add passkey, complete the browser or device prompt, then confirm Passkey added. and the new list row. Alternatively, under Authenticator app, select Set up, scan the QR or use the setup key in your own app, complete the Verification code field on Rifena, select Verify, then confirm Authenticator app enabled.
- For Email code, select Turn on, complete the Email verification code field on Rifena with the code just received, select Verify email, then confirm Email verification enabled.
- If you select Generate or Regenerate under Recovery codes, store the one-time display securely for your own use, then select I saved these codes. Never put those codes in a support request, screenshot, or handoff note.
- If you cannot sign in, select Forgot password? on the sign-in screen to open the flow hosted by the identity service, then follow only the instructions on that screen. Do not use another person’s account or send a recovery code or link to anyone.
Check the result
The profile belongs to you, the selected branch shows its success confirmation, the security method displays its new state, and your account still signs in in a fresh session.
If you cannot continue
Stop if the page moves to an unfamiliar domain, requests information unrelated to the current screen, or the account becomes inaccessible. Never send a recovery code or link to anyone.
Handoff
When support is needed, provide only the step, time, screen, state, and visible error; do not include authentication values or recovery content.
Next
Use the company sign-in guide when the issue belongs to the organization’s provider; otherwise continue to access troubleshooting.
